We are so thankful that Hannah was able to join us in Lubbock Monday and Tuesday. It provided a good opportunity for us all as a family to spend with Isaac. Please pray for her as she starts back to school at WTA&M this morning. This has been a very hard trial we are going through. I have been finding comfort in the words God told Isaac in the song CHILD OF MINE; “My love will never die, and I will not hide my face from you.” Sometimes we are so focused on the overall state we see Isaac is in that we are distracted from rejoicing in the daily triumphs God is providing. God gathered Kris, Kristi and I together in the hospital chapel last night just to pour over us and remind us that He is unfailing. We need to place our focus on Him and what he is most assuredly doing, and going to do in Isaac’s mind and body. God told us in Hebrews chapter 10, “Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” We get so desperate for Isaac to awaken and be completely whole that we forget to give God praise for the daily triumphs leading to that wholeness and absolute recovery. “Lord, we are hoping for Isaac’s complete healing. Thank you Lord that Isaac opened his eyes partially at different times yesterday. Thank you that he is breathing so well, his blood gases are good, he is strong and moving so much in bed, and that he is able to take big yawns and cough to clear his airway. Thank you that he is able to respond on command much of the time for the nurses. Lord, you are giving him breath! We are praying believing for the yet unseen, Isaac being completely whole, living out the hope and future you’ve given him: A will to obey you, a work to do, an incredible young woman of God to love, and a world to reach for you! Make it so, Lord. Amen.”
Thank you for your fervent prayers and support. It is overwhelming to see how God is moving in His body, the church, to speak into and minister to our family. You are amazing! Thank you for your continued prayers. We are seeing God move. Even the charge nurse last night told us that. Please continue to pray the Teague family, for God’s comfort and embrace. Pray for Silvia; she seemed a little better yesterday. Also, we need to lift up a young man named Joseph. His family was very distraught last night in the ICU waiting room. Joseph is 21 years old, and was ran over by a vehicle last night while walking across the street. I asked his father if we could pray for them and he accepted the invitation. About 12 of us gathered to pray with this family. I pray they see Jesus move in their son as we are seeing him present in ours. Lastly, please lift up my brother, Nathan. He has undergone treatment and surgery for cancer. The tumor proved to be the most aggressive type there is, so they are going to do another C scan today to ensure there are no other tumors in his body. We are trusting God! NOTE: Isaac has been moved to the SICU in the Pediatrics section on the second floor. Visiting hours are the same: 09:30-12:30, 3:30-5:30 pm, 8:00 – 10:00 p.m.
